Open Records Requests
Open Records Requests
To Our Constituents and Community Members,
The Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) requires that most public records be made available for inspection by the public. Anyone can request information that is in the possession of a government institution, including the University of Colorado.
To submit an Open Records Request for UCCS or any other CU campus, the requestor must complete the CORA Request Form (PDF) and forward to the appropriate campus CORA custodian.
If you or your department receives an Open Records Request, please forward the request to CORAUCCS@uccs.edu for further instructions and guidance; do NOT attempt to fulfill a request for records on your own. There are specific timelines, restrictions, and exemptions within CORA that must be followed accordingly to prevent legal action against the university.
